We are a group of thousands volunteers across the world, led by a Board of Advisors (to be formalized), founded by Artur Kiulian and operated by a group of hundreds of team leaders.
In Short: We are helping people deal with the consequences of war.
There are so many dimensions of the negative consequences of war. And we know we can't help all these problems, there are many other organizations and volunteers that are and will be much more efficient at those as time progresses. That's why we are building an infrastructure to empower individuals and organizations to help solve these problems.
It means we become a provider of services to other organizations. We intend and already support with some of those:
Because not every 15 person non-profit is able to afford to hire $300,000/year engineer specialized in cyber security and even should not. It's not an effective use of funds but the need is there. That's why we aim to solve that problem for many organizations and groups of volunteers.
We are here to stay, no matter how long war takes we will be here. We will help deal with war, we will help deal with the side-effects of war. And most importantly, we will rebuild Ukraine and make it better than it was. A stronger, independent, proud country with a bunch of friends, the friends that will know they helped as they could. They will travel to Ukraine when things are okay, meet those people we saved and know they were a part of it, forever ingrained in the history of good. Because it's the right thing to do, and the thing that we want to, to be a part of a beautiful, humane, cooperative willingness to help.
We don't buy weapons or military aid because we can't due to our 501c3 non-profit status in USA. We do support Ukrainian government and different Ministries with what we can but we can't send or pay for shipment of needs to Ukrainian Army.
Author, speaker, and tech entrepreneur, Ukrainian-born Artur Kiulian is well known for his expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. In 2020 with the rise of the Covid-19 emergency, he founded CoronaWhy in an effort to bridge the gap between human potential and the challenges mankind is facing as a result of the pandemic. Likewise, in response to the Russian invasion, he stepped in to help Ukraine.
He set up the platform UkraineNow within hours of the invasion on February 24th.
By using his tech expertise, he mobilized hundreds of volunteers around the world to help evacuate Ukrainian children, elderly and those with disabilities from the war zone. "In a matter of two days, we got 15,000 requests to help" says Artur.
Today UkraineNow comprises of more than 2,000 volunteers working on the ground and assisting the operations remotely and has already helped hundreds of people to find refuge.
